Getting it Right: The Glory of the Great British Art Fair #Battersea (21st – 25th October)

You may know that the UK art fair season is well under way and the gallery has been on its annual tour of the country.

Now just weeks away from presenting at arguably the UK’s largest art fair we wanted to celebrate the Great British Art Fair and celebrate their success.

Battersea, Affordable Art Fair now in its 16th year is expecting to attract over 25,000 visitors whilst presenting the works of over 1000 different artists from around 110 international galleries.

The success of Battersea is down to a careful selection of independent galleries, the artists they bring and a strong reputation for being one of the UK’s best destinations for fine, affordable art.

Just what drives so many art lovers to converge on this fair is hard to say, but choice certainly plays its role. No matter what space you are trying to fill or what style you are opting for, you are almost certain to find something that meets your needs. Facts speak for themselves and with over 310,000 visitors and over £57,000,000 worth of art sales, it’s no wonder that Affordable Art Fair Battersea has notoriety world wide as the place to purchase art.

They are also great places from where people can draw inspiration and discover a flavour for new tastes, in my experiences a lot of customers coming to my stand are doing so with an open mind and seeking out something new.

For me these fairs present a fantastic opportunity for all those involved – artists, gallery owners and most importantly collectors and first time buyers.

This will be the third time George Thornton Art will have had the great pleasure at presenting in Battersea, alongside gallery staple artists such as Russell Hatton and Alicia Dubnyckyj we will also be taking newly signed artist Sarah Pope for whom the fair will be an amazing stage on which to build awareness for her artistic talent.

The fair is running from 21 – 25 October at the Battersea Park in London. It’s always great to see a friendly face and it’s a perfect opportunity for you to discover something new. So why not come along?
